Emma is a retired racing Greyhound who spent 4 of years of her life in Caliente Mexico. After rescuing Emma one and a half years ago from a Greyhound rescue group I can truly say that she has rescued me. She is six years old, a forty-five mile per hour couch potato, but give her a big back yard and she will run like only a Greyhound can. Emma really loves people and she is very gentle, quiet, calm and patient. Emma and I do a lot of volunteer work with the Greyhound Adoption Center to help spread the word about Greyhound Adoption. Emma’s favorite toy to play with is her soft and squeaky pink cow. Emma’s idea of fun is going for a car ride. Put her in the car and she is one smiling dog.

I heard about Pet Therapy and thought it would be a wonderful way to share the bond that I have with my dog. In October of 2007 Emma became Delta certified. We look forward to working in the community and sharing the satisfaction through putting smiles on people’s faces when they see the dogs. There is nothing warmer than a cold wet nose.
