Penny was puppy raised by Ann for Guide Dogs of the Desert in Palm Springs.
She was adopted by Ann after she was disqualified from the program because of
elbow dysplasia. She has such a great temperment, so Ann pursued certifying her
as a therapy dog. Penny loves her new career visiting San Antonio Community
Hospital and Upland Public Library. She spreads smiles and wags to all those she
meets.
Ajax
Ajax was puppy raised by Ann for Guide Dogs of the Desert in Palm Springs.
He went on to be a guide dog doing hospice work with Marlow in Phoenix, Arizona.
After retiring Ajax and getting another guide dog, Marlow wanted Ajax to have a
retirement where he would receive more attention than she could give him, so Ann
was able to adopt him. Because Ajax has such a calm submissive presence, Ann had
him certified as a therapy and READ dog. He provides a patient gentle atmosphere
with special needs children.
